Young Choi, M.D.

Widely renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Young H. Choi serves as chief eye surgeon at inVision Ophthalmology in both Northport and Birmingham, AL. He specializes in general ophthalmology, which comprises refractive surgery, cataract removal, and glaucoma treatment. Dr. Choi is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been voted one of Alabama's top eye surgeons. Believing in a personalized approach to patient care, Dr. Choi works one-on-one with every person who visits his office and takes the time to fully understand their concerns and symptoms. He also greatly values providing his patients with important education so they can understand their treatment options. 

After earning his medical degree, Dr. Choi went on to attend a general surgery internship at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Once he completed this training, he was accepted to an ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda Medical Center in Southern California, which was followed by a focused fellowship in refractive surgery to learn contemporary LASIK techniques. Dr. Choi continues to stay on top of the latest developments in the industry by learning all about the latest technologies and approaches for ocular care.

A highly skilled ophthalmologist, Dr. Choi has a comprehensive knowledge of the complex anatomy of the eye and has developed techniques that allow him to accurately diagnose, manage, and treat a range of conditions and diseases.
